Relational Pedagogy/Equity & Inclusion Specialist
Through her work as a practitioner and researcher with several agencies she has developed projects to improve the educational experience of vulnerable and socially excluded young people in South Yorkshire.
Her expertise and skills focus on the alignment of equality, inclusion, and diversity agendas into sustainable knowledge development strategies, which has resulted in her presenting several research papers at national and international conferences
2016 – Present: Yorkshire and Humber BAMEed practitioner network with a focus on intersectionality through the lens of RACE in CPD teacher training and development
2016- 2020: Lead for the Higher Education Race Advisory Group (HERAG)
2019 – 2020: Development and delivery of EDI in Practice Professional Development module for Postgraduate Mental Health Practice and more recently (2021) for the Department of Law and Criminology at Sheffield Hallam University

2015: Founder of Men up North and STORM forums dedicated to the exploration of the creation of patriarchy, emotional, cultural narratives past and present relating to the societal positioning of masculinity

Senior Lecturer Sheffield Hallam University (2014-Present) – Innovated LEAD Industry Certificate within the UK Higher Education at Sheffield Hallam University in 2018. The certification programme has continued to enhance employment prospects for undergraduate students, supporting an increase in employment within business and technology roles.

Empowerment – Working in Careers Advice and Guidance since 1996; qualified in Advice and Guidance (NVQ); winner of Career Development Institute ‘Working with Adults’ Award in 2004; worked on Innovatve Pilot for New Deal for Lone Parents; working on outreach to engage with local communities; expertise covering Higher Education, Further Education, Third Sector and Private Sector.
Innovation – Established 1st Adult Guidance service in England to offer online careers advice 2006; Development and delivery of bespoke employability sessions for PoS, including Cultural Capital and Owning your own career narrative.
Management – Progressive Change in Race Equity for Professional and Student Support Services in Higher Education; Delivering National Careers Service Inspiration Agenda in West Yorkshire by brokering relationships between Schools, Colleges, and employers to create links between industry and educational institutions.
Workforce development – development and delivery of EDI in Professional Practice sessions within Higher Education and across a range of public sector professions including Probation Officers; Prison Officers; Social Workers and Mental Health Practitioners.
